7 days to die farming water crops11/28/2023 After you harvest, simply keep watering the plants to produce more vegetables. You’ ll have to hack them down— and that’ s money wasted. If you have vegetables growing when the seasons change, they will die and produce no yield. On rainy days, you do not have to water any crops. They won’ t die, but they won’ t grow, either. Neglecting to water plants will freeze them in their current state of growth. ![]() If you make a mistake and need a square un-tilled, flatten the ground again with the hammer.Īll vegetables have to be watered every day in order to grow. Equip the hoe and press A to till a square. Some planting basics: in order to plant any seeds, you will first need to prepare an area with the hoe. What pattern will you plant them in? Where should you plant them on your land? What should you plant? When should you plant? If there is no room in the rucksack, Lillia will send the overflow to the farm Toolbox. Purchase them from Lillia and they will appear in your rucksack. These can be found at Flower Lillia’ s in the heart of Flower Bud Village. In order to grow vegetables, you’ ll need to purchase seeds. You’ ll have to be responsible and hard-working to manage a variety of crops. Figure out what works best for you: what is the most lucrative, the easiest to care for, quickest to grow, etc. To become a successful farmer in Harvest Moon 64, you’ ll have to master all of the seasonal crops. Make sure it’ s fairly wide to allow for picking chickens up and placing them elsewhere when collecting eggs. ![]() Make a separate enclosure for chickens near the coop. When the grass is at its highest, march your animals into it to save cash on fodder. Leave a three-log-space at the end of the enclosure nearest the barn to get animals in and out. Make sure you leave a one-space gap around the entire field to put a fence. ![]() A good rule of thumb is 9 squares per animal. Six animals will require a large field to graze in. When planting a field of grass, make sure it is big enough to house all the animals that need to feed on it. Hit A near the wood chute to grab a log, then take it to the location you want to place it and press A again. To enclose grass fields or outline outdoor animal enclosures, go to the wood bin on the side of the chicken coop. You do, however, need to erect fences to keep grazing animals from roaming. Unlike the SNES version of the game, you do not have to (and shouldn’ t) enclose your vegetables in fencing. To enclose outside animals or grass (for grazing or fodder), use the lumber you’ ve collected to construct fences. Weeds don’ t affect anything unless they are in your garden beds— you can let them grow if they aren’ t moving in on your plants. Once you’ ve cleared land of stumps and stones, they will not return. Then, when you’ ve got a source of income in the ground, set to work on the rest of the field. Split the stumps with the axe to gain a plethora of wood for building.Īt first, clear only the land you will need to make a couple beds of seeds. Use the hammer on the small and big rocks— the large ones will take six whacks, the small only two. ![]() This will allow your tool to be upgraded faster. A better idea is to use the scythe to clear weeds. You can pick up weeds by pressing A, and toss them out by pressing the same button. There are three things you must clear off of your land to grow crops: rocks, stumps and weeds. The first step to any farming endeavor is clearing the land.
